Apply to Cardiac Sonographer — A Complete Cardiac Sonography Role

In cardiac sonography, the accuracy of your measurements helps shape the clinical decisions that follow. Experienced sonographers understand that precision matters. So does the environment in which you practice—the physicians you collaborate with, the quality standards maintained by the laboratory, and the opportunity to apply your clinical expertise across a variety of diagnostic procedures.

A.W. Forbes is representing a full-time Cardiac Sonographer opportunity with Cayuga Heart and Vascular, part of Cayuga Health in Ithaca, New York.

The position includes transthoracic and stress echocardiography, participation in transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) procedures, and Holter monitoring. Based at Cayuga Heart and Vascular's outpatient cardiology office, the role also includes hospital-based bedside examinations.

Why This Role Stands Out
✓ Full scope of echo practice. 2D and M-mode echocardiography, color flow Doppler, stress echo and treadmill testing, TEE, and Holter monitoring, all in one role.
✓ Your measurements carry weight. You calculate flow velocities, valve areas, and pressure gradients and prepare preliminary reports for physician review.
✓ An established heart program. Cayuga Heart and Vascular has provided cardiac services in the community for decades and operates an ACC-accredited cardiac catheterization lab and chest pain center at Cayuga Medical Center.
✓ A lab that holds itself to a standard. The role supports the lab's ICAEL accreditation through peer review and quality assurance.
✓ Open to new graduates. One year of experience in an accredited echo lab is preferred, but new graduates are welcome.

The opportunity offers a competitive hourly range of $42.06–$62.25, comprehensive benefits, and professional development opportunities within Cayuga Health, a member of Centralus Health.
